Overview

Practice clinical dermatology in a state-of-the-art facility while providing excellent quality patient care. Help educate our residents and mentor our students.

Responsibilities

Provides physician dermatological care and treatment to patients in outpatient and inpatient settings.

Provides clinical leadership and physician services in the CCC.

Collaborates with peers, faculty and support staff to deliver high quality, patient-centered clinical care.

Completes all necessary clinical documentation in a timely manner to promote effective treatment services and and to support billing.

Ensures that assigned clinical and support staff perform clinical duties in a manner consistent with practice standards and in compliance with applicable EVMS policies.Manage day to day activities in accordance with EVMS policies and procedures and the polices and procedures of supporting institutions.

Participates in marketing and community education to promote high utilization of the CCC.

Develops clinical policies and procedures for the CCC to ensure effective and efficient clinical services and compliance with applicable regulatory and industry standards.

Provides leadership and support in research project development, proposal, data collection, reporting and promulgation of research results.

Participates in education, evaluation and career development of students, residents, fellows and staff.

Participates in marketing and community education to promote utilization of Dermatology clinic.

Ensures efficient clinical services and compliance with applicable regulatory and industry standards.

Qualifications

Board Certified graduate of an accredited medical school

 

Graduation from an accredited school of medicine with a medical doctor (MD) degree; extensive experience in dermatology; possession of a current license to practice medicine in the Commonwealth of Virginia; approval of and endorsement by the American Board of Dermatology.
